I received her Bachelor of Science degree in political science and flute, graduating from the Ball State University honors college at age 20. I earned my masters degree and Ph.D in flute from New York University where I was the youngest woman to receive a Ph.D from the School of Arts and Sciences. I believe in teaching students to organize their practice time wisely, isolating specific issues on the instrument.
