I have taught several students while I was studying music. I won the third place of the Taipei City Competition of Music among many outstanding competitors in 2015. On the other hand, I strived for the chance of participating in many performances. In 2014, I performed Edward Elgar's Cello Concerto in E minor, Op. 85 with the local orchestra in Hualien. In 2017, I played Prokofiev’s Sinfonia-Concertante, Op.125 at my recital at Soochow University, which was praised by my teachers and the audiences. Read More

I am sure to acknowledge accomplishments, not only by finding and setting milestones with each student to discover during lessons, but by (as effectively as I can) creating opportunities for students to perform a recital and demonstrate what they have learned for friends and family. I also make a point of ensuring students know that their lessons with me are a safe and inclusive space. For beginning students, I focus primarily on good sitting posture, both with and without the cello. We then focus on developing left-hand shape and function, before learning basic scales and tunes. Through consistent reinforcement, encouragement, and exercises, I help my students to build the solid technical foundation necessary to develop mastery of the instrument. I primarily use the Suzuki cello books, the Schroeder etudes, and the Starker method, however, I frequently make arrangements of popular tunes for students if that is what they are interested in playing. Currently, I am studying at the University of Colorado Boulder with Professor David Requiro to receive my Bachelor of Music degree in Cello Performance.
