I've played cello and piano since childhood and recieved my Masters in Cello Performance from the University of Redlands in May of 2014. Prior to that I recieved my Bachelors in Music Theory and Composition from the University of Northern Colorado. I've also recieved a certificate in Film and Television Scoring from the UCLA Extension. I have been teaching for the last 10 years. I taught at the East Bay Waldorf School in Berkeley, CA immediately after graduating college where I taught 5-13 year olds. I have taught private lessons to all ages. I can teach lead and rhythm guitar in a variety of styles including pop, jazz, rock. I can teach improvisation and theory. I was assistant principal cellist of the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra for 15 years from 1987 to 2002. I was an Assistant Professor of Music at the University of Mississippi in Oxford from 1988 and 1998. After 1998, I teach cello at the prestigious Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. I was also the Music Director and Conductor of the Mississippi Youth Symphony Orchestra for 9 years.
