Originally from Anaheim, CA, I've been living in New York City for the past six years while completing my Bachelor and Master's degrees at The Juilliard School. I love exploring new creative ways to use the cello, and have taken influences from all sorts of musical genres, from pop to EDM to bluegrass. Intermediate students work make good sound use bow slow and faster, contact bow differently and vibrato. To get better Vibrato work very slow vibrato to faster. I received my Bachelor's degree in Music Education at the State University of New York at Fredonia in 2017, where I performed regularly with the Symphonic and Chamber Orchestra, and learned about how to teach students both individually and in a school setting. For very beginning students, I usually start with the Suzuki Method Books and All For Strings Comprehensive String Method Books. I usually encourage my students to read music, but for the youngest students I start by playing with them and having them copy me. Once they are ready, I start teaching them basic music theory that will help them read music. For intermediate to advanced players I institute a routine of practicing scales and etudes as well as a solo piece that is appropriate for their ability level. Read More

Before I entered college, I was the co-founder and former director of the Wilton and Congers Roots of Music Camps, where I led a team that provided free music instruction to young instrumentalists for three years.
