My primary goal with all of my students is to help them make great music that is true to themselves. I also try to stick with a sound-before-symbol approach to learning music. What this means for my teaching is a focus on training both the ears and technique. I always prefer a more personalized approach to teaching, working with students to find repertoire that speaks to them and improves their musicality and technique. Read More

I've been studying and teaching cello since the 20th century. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to fluently read music and as time goes on you'll be able to perform classical literature or compose your own music. I have a historical basis behind my musical decisions so we will study old traditions and new ones from various sources. Piano and Cello are demonstrative so I will always have my cello or piano at hand. Read More

I began my teaching career back in 2014, teaching cello to children from aged 3 -12. I love the challenge of teaching young students how to focus and concentrate, and I am always in awe of a child's ability to use creative problem solving. Something I like to encourage in my students, regardless of age, is to maintain this child-like state of curiosity and creativity. We adults can learn a lot from our younger counterparts! Read More

I believe that each person has a unique set of skills and characteristics through which he or she acquires knowledge, maintains and improves the acquired knowledge, and uses it to his or her benefit. Therefore, although I do have a system that I follow, I attend to the specific strong and weak points of each student. My goal is to be present in each and every lesson and to focus on each student's current level with the understanding that only through direct and personal guidance could my students improve and thrive.
