I'm a passionate and professional cello instructor who loves working with students. I just moved to New York area due to my husband's job. I'm receiving my Doctoral of Musical Arts Degree from Cincinnati Conservatory of Music in this coming May 2020. My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons 25 years ago. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. My students are encouraged to enter competitions and recitals, as well as work on composing their own original material, so they can feel good about their accomplishments and stay motivated to learn. Teaching the cello is something that I kept doing when I came to the US to study at Juilliard, teaching at their MAP program and other programs in the New York area. Ive taught students of all ages and levels, and truly believe that building a healthy rapport with my students is the only way to instill in them the passion I have for music and for the cello.
