As an educator, I create a safe and healthy environment for learning. Realistic goals are set in consultation with students and are dependent on a variety of factors (work schedule, home life, travel, etc.) With consistent attendance and outside preparation, students will understand the principles of proper cello playing technique, gain the ability to read music notation, understand basic concepts of music theory, and learn how to apply practical and healthy practicing habits. I taught in Hod-Hasharon Conservatory of Music for two years and had a private studio, teaching kids, adolescents, and adults from all ages in private and group settings. My goal as a teacher is to pass my love for music to my students. I believe that the only way a student can improve is through an enjoyable and rewarding practicing experience, while receiving the right mentorship and maintaining a strong and positive teacher-student relationship. For beginning students, i'll typically start with Suzuki books. It's important for students to learn the left and right hand separately before putting everything together. Once a student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I'll introduce some simpler solo repertoire appropriate for his or her skill level. For advanced, I'll be happy to talk about more advanced musical techniques and theories. I play the piano as well, and I will be happy to accompany my students playing repertoire that needs an accompanist. Read More
