I have been teaching music in many forms for the past 3 years. I am a Board-Certified Music Therapist and am excited to begin spending more time and energy as a cello teacher! I work with students of all ages and abilities and can offer adapted lessons to help meet every student's needs. I've previously taught private lessons privately and at School of Rock. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with a beginner method such as Essential Elements or Sound Innovations. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For early students, I typically start with the Suzuki books, as I like the organized technical and musical progression of each piece. As the students develop I begin to add supplimentary materials such as etude and scale books. Students can progress from open strings to Bach with ease.
