I like to give scales and a practical theory lesson each week, then transcribe a song for the student to learn that relates to the weeks lesson. After High School I continued guitar and studied at Elmhurst College near Chicago, while there I performed with many ensembles in a large variety of genres and styles. Once the student has progressed and has a good grasp of the fundamentals, I will bring in other repertoire appropriate to their level.
