For my young kids between ages 6-10, I teach them power chord structures for rock n blues. We learn how to read rhythmic notation and apply those concepts to popular rock tunes. Afterwards [4-6 weeks], I brielfy take them through a book called "Rock Guitar For Kids", which teaches all the fun applications for modern, rock n blues guitar. I began teaching guitar in high school to middle school students and continued teaching children and adults throughout college. While in music college, I grew to start to teaching bass guitar as well as drums. My teaching style is focused yet fun. Me and my students always have a good time through my curriculum of theory and how it relates to music they enjoy.
