Overview:
I am a young musician seeking to inspire students through sharing my knowledge of all things music. In May of 2015, I graduated from Eastern Univserity with a Bachelor of Arts in General Music. Since then, I have performed around the Greater Philadelphia Area and beyond as a bassist. I have also been featured on a couple recording projects as a bassist. When not performing locally, I serve at local churches as a bass player, as well. Currently, I intern at POC Media in Wayne, PA, through which I received an opportunity to tour with the many bands they manage.
EXPERIENCE
Teaching started in my college years, taking up opportunities to teach family and friends for fun. Ironically, my first student happened to be my dad. The experience was so uplifting to him that he began to seek oppotunitites to perform occasionally at his church! That moment was a huge factor in wanting to pursue private instruction. It's worth teaching because you can inspire any and everybody to learn and play music. This has made my time teaching an absolute joy. It's never too late or early to learn!
METHODS USED
If I am teaching beginners I will focus on developing proper technique (i.e. hand placement and crossing strings). How one ends is contigent on how they start, so I make sure beginners have proper technique before moving on to repertoire. I will also have beginners go through the Hal Leonard method books to ensure they have the theory necessary to progress. Once the students have developed the necessary technique and theory, I will give them more challanging material to learn. If the students wish to learn certain material then I will oblidge to helping them, assuming they have the technique and theory to do so.
LESSON STYLE
Every student is unique in how they approach and respond to music, so I make it a point to teach each individual student at their own pace. I also try to gauge what motivates and excites them, which allows me to better help them grow and develop in desired areas. Knowing these areas will help make lessons more fun, engaging, and rewarding for the students. When teaching adult students, I will accommodate them based on their goals, needs, and skill level. I believe will sharing material that the adults are familar and comfrotable with will keep them enaged and highly motviated during lessons.

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
