As a lover of multiple genres of music, I aim to improve technique, versatility, and musicianship with my teaching. I recently graduated Cum Laude from the Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Music Business. During my time in school, I performed throughout the Boston area at venues such as the Middle East and the Berklee Performance Center. After graduating, I was able to tour through parts of New England and perform at venues ranging from small night clubs to large festivals, including the Mud Run Rock Gods Tribute Festival in Howland, Maine. For those who want to put their nose to the grindstone and get as far as they can as quick as they can, I am all for it, but I do not force my students to be this way. Practicing hard must be a personal choice, because it is hard work. The more you practice, the better you will become, but if a student is forced to practice for long periods of time, From what I have seen they will most likely not want to continue. Read More

I started playing bass at 11, playing in rock bands with friends. We gained a lot of experience performing in those days. I extended to guitar shortly after bass and began practicing other styles and improvising. Around age 16 I started getting into jazz and that is when I started to get serious about music. I went to salem state university and studied jazz and classical guitar as well as piano and ukulele. Read More

With the Suzuki Method the students learn to play the instrument first, and to read music second, removing the obstacle of reading notation until the students learns some technique on the guitar. I have also taught students of varying ages using traditional teaching methods. I like to pace the lessons based on each individual student. I understand that students have other obligations and I do not believe music lessons should add stress to the students. Read More

My number one priority as a teacher is making sure that my students develop a solid understanding of music theory in addition to honing their skills as bass players. Building upon that foundation, I then tailor the lessons to suit each student's musical goals and interests. As students begin to see the theory behind their favorite bass lines and melodies and start to understand why the music works the way it does, their understanding of each genre of music will grow. I have a deep and passionate love for all things music, whether it's teaching, performing, writing, or listening, and I love being able to share that with my students. I did my undergrad program at UMass Lowell and have achieved my Bachelors degree in Music Studies. I currently still attend the University, where I am striving to get my Masters degree in Music Teaching. Outside of school I enjoy writing and recording my own music, and I occasionally play live shows when I can. Read More

I began teaching my friends and family for fun in my early teens. My mom is a teacher and she taught me the basics of guitar at a young age. By the time I graduated High School it seemed like being a guitar instructor was the only job for me. It still seems that way, however I have expanded my business towards building and repairing guitars, amplifiers, and effect pedals. Read More
