Once the student has progressed and has a good grasp of the fundamentals, I will bring in other repertoire appropriate to their level. I like to give scales and a practical theory lesson each week, then transcribe a song for the student to learn that relates to the weeks lesson. My more recent experience has been as an educational artist for Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, Ga. I’ve had private students from all ages and ethnic backgrounds.
