I've had the opportunity to learn from some of the best music educators around. The study of musical pedagogy is a top priority for me. I'm a firm believer in the concept of students learning at their own pace. The last thing I want to do, is make you feel stress when playing/performing! Read More

It's a rewarding feeling to be a part of their growth and witness their progress firsthand. Seeing their confidence blossom as they navigate the complexities of an instrument or explore the intricacies of music theory is truly inspiring. One of the reasons I've grown to love teaching is the opportunity it provides to connect with students on a personal level. Each student comes with their own unique musical journey and aspirations. My teaching style is all about enjoying music and the instrument. I can pick up when a student is frustrated, confused or embarrassed and adjust the lesson accordingly. Overall, I want my students to have fun! I enjoy teaching how to read music and once a few notes are learned, I start applying it to songs that my students really enjoy. I also like to teach scales and harmonic structure so my students can begin to understand what's really going on in the music they enjoy. Read More

Finally, I go more into what it is they're hoping to get out of their playing and help them go further in discovering that direction Drums - Similar to guitar, work on form and how to hold the sticks first. It's important to get them comfortable with playing loud and clear, sometimes the drums are a bit intimidating with their massive volume. (Unless you're on an e-kit). Fun!, Fun!, Fun!.. Methodically working on what works,,, right hand development. Repetition, and uncovering blocks to learning.. Learning simple songs that take s a few days at most to master, in turn, creates confidence. Repetition, and timing are the two most important aspects of playing any musical instrument. Read More
