I am an immensely passionate and dedicated musician who loves sharing the joy of music with others. I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2018 with a Dual Degree in Jazz Composition and Saxophone Performance. I play sax, guitar, and compose most of the music for my original prog fusion group, LON, with whom I have performed all over New England, as well as playing over 100 gigs a year with various groups, ranging from wedding bands, original projects, and jazz bands. Through my time working with students I have found that it is very important to get to know them on a more personal level, i.e. music they like, their interests, their hobbies etc, and that way I can tailor my lesson plans to them as individuals and make them feel as comfotable as possible. I've learned a lot from my experiences in and out of the classroom, and I use my knowledge to the best of my ability in every lesson. Read More

I am a big proponent of a hands-on learning approach that relies heavily on musical interaction and performance preparation. The best way to improve as a musician is to play, so I try to pinpoint what the student is interested in playing and focus our attention toward that, all while developing foundational music skills such as rhythm, sight reading, theory, ear training, and harmony. I like to start my students on a series of warm-ups and technical exercises that I've found to be essential in developing good technique for students of all abilities and experience levels, and eventually work up to playing repertoire that will strengthen their fundamentals and fulfil their musical interests. With the Suzuki Method the students learn to play the instrument first, and to read music second, removing the obstacle of reading notation until the students learns some technique on the guitar. I have also taught students of varying ages using traditional teaching methods. I like to pace the lessons based on each individual student. I understand that students have other obligations and I do not believe music lessons should add stress to the students. Read More

for younger students, we usually work through a book together to understand the fundamentals of music before we start to approach more complex lessons. I tend to use Hal Leonard's Essential Elements as well as other series' depending on the student's level and musical interest. For adult lessons, I typically create a unique lesson plan that includes warmups, technique exercises, and the learning of songs or solos all dependent on that student's particular interests. I began teaching privately in high school at the age of 16, what started as one weekly lesson quickly became several; over that time I developed a strong passion for teaching. Watching a student's talent grow is extremely rewarding to me. Over the past 7 years I have taken my knowledge gained through my own studies and adapted them to my lessons. The best part for me as a teacher is having a student take the tools that I have given them, and create their own voice as a musician and artist. Read More
