We will also work on building a repetoire of songs for the student to work on perform. Intermediate students will work on the fundamentals of theory, triads, beginner 7th chords, and improvasation. And as the student wants, more and more, to prove that he can "beat the instrument," he begins to work at it in ways that I can't teach. Learning an instrument is more than showing up for one hour each week. Practice is everything. I have extensive knowledge of music theory and will make sure to cover chords, scales, and music notation while building familiarity with the instrument. Once the student starts to progress, I will start to teach songs/pieces of music one at a time.
