After learning about their hopes and goals, I start teaching from a technical perspective to help them get a handle on their instruments. I like to impart a holistic love of music in my students, without boring them with too much history or theory. For everyone, I try to be calming, supportive, and as fun as possible; there are differences for various ages. With very young students, it's important to be as supportive as possible; especially when learning new things that can often be frustrating.
