Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

Instruments: Voice
I always start by just hearing my students sing. I listen for the breathe that they use, where the voice is placed and the tone of the voice. If they sound as though that they could delve into a different genre as well as the genre they choose, I would give them an option to see if one genre feels just as comforting as the other. I have started teaching shortly before college, and have a proven track record of working as an independent instructor and part of teaching collectives. I am a member in good standing with both MTNA and MSMTA, and have been consistently teaching students out of my home studio for the past 15 years. With younger students, I prefer emphasizing habit formation, such as setting a practice schedule, regularly committing to a set amount of practicing time, and develop a passion for the piano. I help them find recitals and places that I can teach them songs to learn and the students have a chance to perform live places with me for holiday musicals and some of my concerts places locally as well. I believe everyone is equal and I treat everyone so. No one gets any special treatment I help all my students teach their full voice. I teach about audition prep and assist with little tricks to help with gaining confidence performing live on stage. Read More

My teaching experience comes from teaching the previous two years at Stone House Jam Academy in Bel Air, MD.
