I have always maintained wide-ranging and diverse teaching studios that include both flute and piano students of all ages and experience levels! Seeing that witnessing live concerts is such an integral part of the learning experience I always try to send my students information about upcoming concerts in the area and have recently been named Co-Artistic Director of the Light Street Chamber Players in Baltimore where I can provide my students with tickets and opportunities to be involved in classical music. As an experienced music educator, musician, and a mother, I have found that it is so important to have music in people's life starting from young age. I have taught at school settings and private studios for more 10 years, and recently got certified as Zumbini instructor to teach age 0-4 and their caregivers. I have earned a BA in music, a MA in piano performance, and a MS in music education. Read More

For all my students I like to balance between making our way through a method book and breaking down different songs and exercises. I recommend Hal Leonard's Essential Elements/Method books or Standard of Excellence books for my woodwind/guitar/ukulele students, Piano Adventures by Faber books for my piano students, and Breaking It Down or Alfred's Beginning Drumset Method for my drum students. Once the student has gained an understanding of basic sight-reading, then we can move on to more advanced books that can be focused on a theme or other advanced methods. Read More

It has been truly rewarding to see students' growth when they smile after finishing learning a song! Having a goal in mind for them, pushed them to practice different things with a focused mindset. With each concert I held virtually, it was amazing to see how much music they have learned and how far they have come in their musicianship. Read More
