I started playing the flute about 12 years ago and participated in numerous local competitions which allowed me to play in internationally known halls such as the Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. I started teaching private lessons to students when I was in high school and focused mostly on Classical performance. I am also willing to teach marching band techniques as I was a Drum Major in my high school marching band. Read More

For all my students I like to balance between making our way through a method book and breaking down different songs and exercises. I recommend Hal Leonard's Essential Elements/Method books or Standard of Excellence books for my woodwind/guitar/ukulele students, Piano Adventures by Faber books for my piano students, and Breaking It Down or Alfred's Beginning Drumset Method for my drum students. Once the student has gained an understanding of basic sight-reading, then we can move on to more advanced books that can be focused on a theme or other advanced methods. Read More
