I am student-oriented teacher. I would like the student to explain their goals to me and we will work as a team to achieve those goals. This involves choosing the music to be studied. I have plenty of ideas for beginners who want help with choosing books. Then as lessons progress, student goals can be plugged I to instruction, no matter what music they are playing or singing. I encourage students to play for family and friends, and participate in music education events. Read More

Since graduating High school, I have been able to perform all over the country as a band, or a solo artist. I have taught at various high schools teaching the percussive programs as well as writing the music for these programs. Read More

I believe in a good mixture of practice and exercises as well as performing solo pieces. I highly encourage practicing regularly. Read More

As well as teaching college level guitar and music courses, I have taught an average of 70 students a week for 15 years during the 1990s and early 2000s. Read More
