I want students to be confident and successful, so I will do anything in my power to help them learn good technique and practice habits. For students before 18, I suggest them to sing more fun and lighter repertoire without trying too hard and building bad habits. For some students who need advice for auditions and competitions, I love to discuss with them openly about plans, repertoire choices, and characterization, and I offer more physical and mental practice to make them well-prepared. Part of our final project included giving a sample lesson to a colleague, and I fell in love with helping someone achieve their goal through singing. I have taught in several different settings over the years, but my private studio has been the most satisfying environment.
