I hold a Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance from the Eastman School of Music, and a Masters of Music in Vocal Performance (Musical Theatre Concentration) with an Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy from New York University. Instruments: Voice Synthesizer Music

For singing lessons, I teach speech level voice production. We do scales and exercises to support the technical skills, and develop covers or original songs. We explore different styles if desired and can also record songs, which allows us to analyze each tapes and learn through listening to our own performance. I can also include music theory in the curriculum. For music production, I tutor in Ableton, Logic or Garageband. Read More

Since moving to NYC, I have also started teaching at the New City School of Music in New City, NY. I find that teaching has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have had while in music, and I often feel that I have learned as much from teaching as from my own study. I firmly believe that it is as important that students learn basic musicianship skills such as sight-singing and music theory as learning their instrument of choice, and I try to incorporate these elements, among others, in voice lessons. I always start with applicable musical theory to help the student understand the basics of piano and what are the proper techniques to play the instrument. The same applies to voice lessons. After a student is able to read music on the basic level and knows the placement of notes on the scale, we proceed to the basic repertoire and practice. Each student is individual, so based on the pace I create a schedule, which always includes implementing the learnt material more and more, so that student can perform basics automatically correct.
