With intermediate musicians, I tend to seek out anything of interet to the student while incorporating harder repertoire to strengthen musicianship and to continue to peek interest in music. Everyone has heard horror stories of music lessons that they were forced to take with teachers who forced students to play music they were not interested in. I whole heartily believe that this is the fastest way to severe a student's relationship with creating music. The musical education process should be one that the student enjoys and wants to nurture to become the best musician they can! I teach different methods of breathing, including low costal breathing and we focus on posture, sound placement, among many other fun skills. During that time I was given the opportunities to sing with some wonderful groups including Kentucky Opera Chorus, Cardinal Singers, Early Music Ensemble, and Choral Arts Society.
