While I was living in Chicago, I started my own voice studio. Unfortunately, after a couple of years I had to close shop when I moved to the United Kingdom to pursue my postgraduate degree in musical theatre. I directed, stage managed, and assistant directed many musical theatre productions and musical performances in Chicago, Nashville, Washington D.C. and London. I have had ten years of varied professional experience in the industry both on and off stage. Read More

I believe it is important to build a strong technical foundation and knowledge of the mechanics of the voice, while also focusing on performance and real-world musicianship. With contemporary music theory (beginning to advanced) integrated into each lesson, students learn to understand and apply a musical vocabulary that is necessary to communicate in the industry. Every student progresses at their own pace. Read More

During my lessons, I like to create an environment free of judgment, embarrassment, inhibition, self-doubt, and any other emotion or thought, internal or external that is going to deter my students from becoming the best singers possible. Im always open to try different techniques and approaches in order to allow my students to open to me and to the music. Singing is one of the most therapeutic practices anyone can experience because the music is literally running in and out of your body. Read More

I believe learning is about developing a fluency in music in general as well as understanding and implementing specific techniques. Read More
