I stress the importance of breathing, vowel placement and pronunciation. I've been working with children long before I chose my major and started college. Singing was always a big part of my "play". I studied elementary education but even when I was in the general classroom I used music. I enjoyed making up songs to help different skills and ideas stick. I did a 4 year degree course at The University Of Hertfordshire in Musical Theater and went on to be a hit songwriter. In the 90's I was signed by Simon Cowell to his record company in London.
