I received a Master’s degree in Music from the Boyer College of Music in Philadelphia, PA in 2015 for Vocal Performance. Before that, I graduated from the National Music Academy of Ukraine named after P.I. Tchaikovsky in Kiev in 2013, where I received a Bachelor in Music, took parts in a lot of operas ("Le nozze di Figaro", "Eugene Onegin", "Faust") and also earned a certificate of teaching. I encourage my students to enter competition, recitals and also give music exams. I also encourage them to improvise on the idea or on the song. I also encourage them to listen to good music as one also learns many things by listening.. One of my main goals as a teacher is to get to know my student, how they best learn, and what it is they love about music. My own love for music and particular bands/genres is what gave me the drive to keep practicing, and I bring this same approach to each of my lessons. Nothing makes me more happy than to see one of my students getting excited about something they are playing--and because of this, I structure my lessons to maximize the aspects of music each student enjoys, while making sure to incorporate fundamental aspects of technique and music theory regardless of the particular music we are studying. I am a trained Music Therapist, graduated with a Bachelors of Music in Music Therapy, major instrument Piano with secondary instrument Voice. I enjoy working with young children and also those with special needs especially infants to provide sensory stimulation through music therapy. I use Music in therapy to facilitate language, social, movemen/motor and pre-academic skills.
