Working for a local drum teacher in 2005, I started teaching private music lessons in students' homes. From there, I took up residence at a local music store where I taught guitar, ukulele, bass, harmonica, songwriting, and music theory for the next fifteen years. During the pandemic, I added teaching virtually to my repertoire and have fallen in love with it. I first started teaching as a teenager, helping out in a religious classroom on the weekends during the year, and as a summer camp counselor in the summer. I have taught many creative subjects, including music, poetry, and song writing. I have always loved teaching, learning is one of the greatest ways two minds can connect - of any age! I began teaching and tutoring underclassmen in theory, piano and voice while also teaching dance classes in the community. After I graduated I continued teaching and gained an assistantship to continue voice lessons to undergraduate non-majors. I also was the assistant director for our musical theater revue.
