For children, I focus on the comprehension of pitch and note reading. If the child has a song that he or she wants to sing, then we will pursue it if it is vocally fitting. If not, I have a variety we can choose from. We also will pursue the fundamentals of music theory in our lessons as well. Teenagers to adults can also pursue the fundamentals of music theory or beyond depending on their current knowledge. Read More

Seems I've always been a teacher, even when I didn't realize it; from my school days as first chair helping other students, through college where I taught for the Southern Nevada School of Music and at Vesleys Music Conservatory, through the time I received my first certified public school teaching position and after that as a business owner with employees, I have been teaching and learning. Currently I teach Instrumental, Vocal music and Speech/Drama in Oklahoma as a certified classroom teacher. Read More

My work goes beyond traditional voice lessons—I help students connect their voice to their body, emotions, and sense of self. Whether someone is learning to sing, speak with confidence, or simply be heard, I create a space where growth feels both grounded and empowering. My teaching approach is rooted in personalization and presence. Each session is designed to meet the individual where they are, focusing on breath, release of tension, vocal freedom, and authentic expression. Read More

I base my teaching methods on the student I am teaching. For students that are children at a beginner level, I typically begin with the essential elements of creating vocal foundation which I draw from many sources. Once we have set a good foundation, we tend to begin working on repertoire that is appropriate for the level at which they are singing, using those songs as learning opportunities. For adults, I begin by asking about the goals of the individual student and I then formulate a strategy to help the student reach their specific singing goals. Read More

I will also help a student with any outside pieces for school or the community. Piano Lessons: For beginning students who are very young, I start with Bastien Piano Basics or Hal Leonard Essential Elements. For adults/teens, I use the KJOS Bastien book for adults or the upper level books by Hal Leonard. I also have my students play popular pieces or holiday pieces of their choosing in addition to their classical repertoire. Read More

I am a compassionate instructor and am excited to share my love of music with my students. My philosophy is that the student comes first and the music comes second. I attended Oklahoma City University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Musical Theatre. After leaving OCU I studied further voice lessons from Michael Crowley, a former member of the company at the Metropolitan Opera. I have played piano since I was 5 years old. Read More
