For adults/teens, I use the KJOS Bastien book for adults or the upper level books by Hal Leonard. For my students, I like to start with repertoire appropriate to their voice type. I will work with each student on pitch, tone color and quality, diction, and breath support. Things will be taken at the pace of the singer. Generally, opera arias will be saved for students above intermediate level. For children, I will not give opera arias because of the level of difficulty and extensive damage that can be done to the vocal chords in doing so. Read More

My favorite thing about teaching is getting to discover how others learn. The approach I use for one student will not always work for another. I think every person has a unique learning style and I love to develop new ways to teach concepts to my students. I am a passionate musician "from the womb". I've sang since I was 4-years-old and began official training in school at 11-years-old. I started playing the violin just the year before that. I graduated with a worship leadership degree free Visible Music College in Memphis, Tennessee in 2020. I began lessons for piano my senior year of high school, and I continued training for about 2 years during in college. I have had the pleasure of singing professionally for over a decade. From 2007 to 2011, I sang in the chorus of the Tulsa Opera. After fulling my final contract, I relocated to Edmond/Oklahoma City to attend The University of Central Oklahoma (UCO). There, I completed my Bachelor of Music (B.M.) in May of 2015 and my Master of Music (M.M.) in May of 2018, both in Vocal Performance.
