Hi, I'm Ronn. I have lived in New York City for years working Off-Broadway, and now travel back and forth consistently between NYC and OKC, and also teach in Los Angeles regularly. A working member of Actors Equity, some of my credits include national television, independent film (Soho International Film Festival Official Selection), New York concert stage (Carnegie Hall concerts with Kelli O'Hara and Stephen Sondheim) and Off-Broadway theatre. For children, I focus on the comprehension of pitch and note reading. If the child has a song that he or she wants to sing, then we will pursue it if it is vocally fitting. If not, I have a variety we can choose from. We also will pursue the fundamentals of music theory in our lessons as well. Teenagers to adults can also pursue the fundamentals of music theory or beyond depending on their current knowledge. Read More

I have been teaching on and off since 2016. People would ask me for spontaneous lessons and I would meet them either in their home. Most of my lessons were on vocals or piano. During this time I would also teach trombone lessons after school. My lessons are always energetic and entertaining. I always try to keep them engaged by setting an achievable goals for them for that lesson. If a student doesn't have milestones that they have reached, then it decreases engagement and motivation. I began officially teaching music in 2015 with the Salvation Army here in Memphis, Tennessee. I've taught beginner violin and piano lessons with the Salvation Army, and I have a few private violin students of my own currently. As much as I love music, I love explaining concepts and giving my students confidence in their field of music, whether that is in voice, instrument, or writing.
