After receiving Bachelor Degrees from two outstanding Chinese Music Colleges and Universities, I performed as a primary singer for a leading Chinese performance orchestra for nearly 15 years. I also won major national and regional singing competitions throughout China, including First Place in the most important national competition. For beginning students, I use the Piano Adventure Series by Nancy Faber and Randall Faber. I also use the A Thousand Stories for a Little Pianist by Katrin Arefy. My special methods in teaching young students include stories, easy duets, and singing familiar folk songs. For intermediate level students, I use different method books according to the student's interests. However, I encourage them to play Classical music, which is very useful in developing good techniques in piano playing. Read More

Music has always been a part of my life. I became involved in music, theater and dance at a young age, performing in countless professional productions. In my teens and early adulthood, I began writing and recording music and became involved in a number of recording projects that led me to teaching.
