Teacher interaction with hands-on at lessons: In order to help students understand the feeling of correct violin playing, I occasional assist them in such ways as guiding the bow, hands, and arms. Student interaction: I want every one of my students to be engaged and excited while learning the violin. My aim is to combine fun with learning. My curriculum is unique for each individual depending on their goals and age, however I generally start beginners out with Hal Leonard’s Essential Elements for Strings, and a few of my own exercises as needed. After they have become comfortable with the violin I begin them on the Suzuki books or other solo repertoire. As the student progresses I gradually phase out Essential Elements and replace it with elementary scale books and exercise books. Read More

While I can be strict, I always try to make lessons fun, especially for young children because it is essential to their learning capability that they enjoy learning their instrument. N.J. We were part of a special collaboration between Rutgers University and the arts school. Outer specialized program was called, " Soweto" due to our team collaboration in Johannisburg, South Africa. I also worked there for numerous years as a substitute violin instructor for Doctor Younoski. I also worked in an Enrichment program at Bethal Christian Academy, in the afternoons after school, M-F. I taught a Youth In Arts program on the weekends at George Inness Junior High, which was sponsored by The Mount Claire Public School Systems. Read More
