I have been teaching for almost 20 years and have taught people as young as four years old to amateur adults, as well as from beginners to highly advanced pre-conservatory students, and people from all different backgrounds. I take an individualistic approach to teaching, tailoring my lessons to my students. I teach violin for all levels and beginner/intermediate piano. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. As an active concert violinist,Ihave appeared with the Boston Symphony Orchestra,the Brockton Symphony and Quincy Symphony Orchestras, and enjoy frequent guest appearances with the Lowell and Waltham Philharmonic Orchestras. While performingat The Universitat Mozarteum Akademie Salzburg,I was recently named Laureatefor my execution of 21st century composer Lera Auerbach's 'T'filah' for Solo Violin. As an orchestral musician, I was Concertmaster of The Juilliard Orchestra, hold the Principal Second position in Solisti Ensemble, and was featured member of the critically acclaimed Axiom Ensemble. I find that the relationship between a music student and teacher is one that develops skills for life, not just musical techniques.
