By 19 i had about 20 students from the age of 5 all the way to age 45, from beginner to advanced levels. I has been immersed in the wonderful world of music since 2009. I started my studies at the Conservatorium of Music of Carabobo, where I learned about music theory, harmony and history of music. There I began to fall in love with sounds, especially the sounds of bowed string instruments and started to learn Viola and Violin. For beginning students, I always start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. I've found this book to be the best at introducing the instrument and reading the music. I may or may not continue teaching out of the books (there's 3), but that depends on the student. By book 2 or 3 I usually begin introducing Suzuki, as there are many solo pieces for them. I do believe that understanding of music theory is necessary to advance beyond the intermediate level, and this system has assisted in training many students over the years.
