I am a violin teacher in the Cleveland area. I love playing with string quartets. My favorite composers are Mendelssohn, Rachmaninoff, Bach, Beethoven, and Chopin. Music is my life! I was born in South Korea and came to the United States when I was 14.
I am a dedicated and motivated instructor whose sole mission is to develop and cultivate independent musicians of all genres. I teach violin, viola, voice, eurythmics, and music theory. I also teach ear training and pitch recognition, for those that are interested in relative or perfect pitch.
I am a professional cellist and instructor who loves working with students of all ages and sharing my passion of music living in Indianapolis with my wife. I have had the pleasure of performing in several different countries and thoroughly enjoy teaching music. I graduated from Baldwin-Wallace University Conservatory of Music. I then received a full assistantship to Youngstown State University to complete my Masters degree in cello performance.
I am a passionate and patient instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. I graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Instrumental Music Education, with a focus on Euphonium. I have worked as a long term sub in middle school band and have taught privately since that time. I currently work outside the education field, but still enjoy sharing music with those who want to learn.

Young students will learn all aspects of playing their new instrument. All children will begin to read music and learn how to handle their instrument properly. Violins are a small instrument that can be comfortable hands. While most adults will play on a standard full size, the violin comes in smaller sizes as well and our network of teachers will be able to assist you on choosing the correct one.
When starting violin lessons, students will choose if they would like to buy or rent the instrument. Many beginners will choose the rental option as it is less of a financial commitment, and can be done on a month to month basis. When you rent a violin, you will be given everything you need to start lessons, the instrument, a case, and a bow. Almost all instrumental music stores will offer rental programs, and they can guide you in your choosing of the correct option.
Musika works with all ages and skill levels to help students reach their highest potential! Whether you are an adult beginner or an advanced player, our teachers will work with you to enhance your skills and musical comprehension. With customized lesson plans adult students find lessons with Musika to be both successful and rewarding.
When you choose in home lessons, you are choosing the most convenient way to include music to your life. By having the instructor come to your home you are saving time, money, and energy! Not only is this a convenient option for busy schedules, but it allows you to learn your instrument in the familiar, comfortable space of your own home.
The teachers in our network create a customized lesson plan for every student, so no two students' lesson plans will be identical. Topics covered during Musika's violin lessons may include, but are not limited to: how to hold the violin and bow, different bowing techniques, how to read music, musicianship skills to aid in playing in tune, developing a natural, tasteful vibrato for sustained notes, and most importantly, to have fun playing the violin!

Pavel is doing a great job with my 6 year old son. Pavel is doing a great job helping my son focus on technique and rhythm, which is something previous instructors weren't so successful with. Pavel is organized / structured / systematic, which is what my son needs now, but I hope he relaxes a bit as the lessons continue so that more "joy" comes through.

I started taking voice lessons from Ali when I was 19 and a sophomore in college. Though I was hesitant to be starting "late", I felt very comfortable with Ali and her teaching style. We identified several key issues that really made a difference and improved my voice technique. It was fun to sing popular, beautiful songs in our recital! If only I lived in Los Angeles, I would still be a student. Highly recommended!

Stephanie is an excellent voice teacher! Our 10-year-old daughter enjoys her lessons with Stephanie each week. She has an amazing way of connecting with our daughter through music. Stephanie knows how to offer constructive feedback in a positive way that keeps our daughter interested and wanting to learn more. I would recommend Stephanie without hesitation.

Lara is highly intelligent and knowledgeable in her profession. She is cheerful and personable, and has established a good rapport with students and staff alike. I have found Lara to be a highly competent, personable, patient, kind-hearted, and deeply caring person who is skilled professionally and interpersonally.

I really like her. And as an adult student, a good teacher who keeps the pace up but still keeps it reasonable in terms of difficulty is really hard to find. She does a great job of explaining little detail things in terms I (as a musically challenged human) can understand. I'm having a blast! 10/10 would recommend!

Gina is very supportive and encouraging. Even though I get frustrated with my progress, she can tell that I've been practicing and reminds me of how far I've come. She challenges me to learn new skills without giving me a piece that I cannot master (with practice). I'm happy that she is my music teacher and look forward to many more lessons in the future.

When I started with Darrell, I didn't know anything bout music. Nothing. We started with basic music theory & moved into scales and reading. It hasn't been very long at all, but my confidence is growing quickly. He does ask a lot from you and he expects you to keep up. But I can honestly say that if you are willing to work hard and spend the time at home doing what he asks, you will see the results. He wants you to succeed and takes pride in watching you grow. If you want it as bad as he does, you will see the result very quickly.

Laura is a fabulous teacher. She explains concepts to me using concrete examples so that I can understand changes that I need to make to my posture, breathing, phrasing, etc. She makes warm-up exercises fun, and she's got a great sense of humor over all. Her teaching style is collaborative, more egalitarian (she respects what I already know and meets me at my level), tailored to my particular interests and strengths, and I always look forward to our lessons!

Michael is exactly what I was looking for in a teacher. The first thing he did was to determine what I wanted to get out of lessons, and what my existing skill level is. He is now aiming me in the right direction - and he is clearly skilled, experienced and knowledgeable, in addition to being very easy to get along with. I'm very happy.
