I want to make sure that the student enjoys the piece that they are working on, and that it challenges their skill levels while still being able to be performed by them. I am not Suzuki certified but I utilize the early Suzuki violin books for repertoire; that being said, I always take the requests of students into account meaning it is important to me that students are learning music they are excited about learning. For beginners who are new to music as a whole, I employ volumes 1 and 2 of "I Can Read Music" to get students learning both pitch and rhythm in easy, digestible, sections. Read More

I'm a lifelong musician and grew up playing piano with my grandparents, who are both concert pianists and taught me how to play. I have my A.A. in music from Mt. San Jacinto C.C. and have studied under a number of great professional artists. I have been in a ZZ Top and Led Zeppelin tribute band, as well as a 00's and 10's rock cover band. If my student has a more "just for fun" attitude, the lesson will inevitably be a more light hearted feel.
