For the past 20 years, I've studied and performed with keyboards, guitars and woodwind instruments while exploring a very wide variety of music ranging from classical and rock to jazz and avant-garde. Expanding and sharing that knowledge with other people in a helpful and friendly manner is something that I consummately enjoy- especially if they're beginning where I once was. My education includes a Bachelor of Music in Music Composition from DePaul University, and I've been working on my Music Education Certificate at UMSL since August 2014. Teaching private music lessons to students has allowed me to develop my interpersonal and arbitrational skills through calmly and effectively solving student issues as they've come up.

I am a recent graduate from Millikin University eager to spread my love for the classical violin. I have a degree in Commercial Music and Music Business, along with minors in communication and entrepreneurship. I just recently started my own business, Strings Attached, where we play for weddings and business events. I started in the Suzuki Program in Wheaton, played in numerous different orchestras since then and now have 1 year experience in teaching beginners. I have a passion for classical music and am ready to pass it along to interested students.

I have known since a very young age that music would always be the biggest part of my life. I grew up studying the violin and piano intensively, and eventually decided the violin was the instrument I wanted to focus on. Performing has always been a love of mine, but in the past few years I have found that my true passion lies in teaching. In 2013, I graduated from DePaul University wtih a Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance. In 2009, I co- founded a program which provides music instruction to underserved children. I have been an instructor for this program for the past four years.

Besides being a concert violinist, I am a passionate and motivated violin teacher who enjoys sharing my love of music with students. I moved to the United States in 2013 as I got a scholarship to complete my music studies at Monmouth College. I have been performing all over the United States. I have recently performed a full recital at the Kennedy Center and was honored at the White House and selected as a Champion of Change for World Refugee, 2015. I also performed recently solo with Mesopotamian Symphony Orchestra in California Theatre, CA. I am currently working on my Master of Music Performance at DePaul University.

I started teaching music when I was a junior in high school. I continued teaching private lessons through my college career to local grade school and high school students. College was where I learned how to teach and play strings, woodwinds, percussion, voice, and piano in addition to brass. Once I graduated with my Bachelor's degree, I taught as the adjunct professor of low brass at Saint Joseph's College teaching tuba, trombone, euphonium, and capstone performance courses to the college's music majors. Since my move to IL, I continue to teach private lessons, while also conducting a high school youth choir. I strongly ecourage my students to learn to communicate with their music; while building strong technique and working on artistic expression, I want each student to be able to use music as a language. I encourage my students to become thinkers inside, and outside, of our lessons. I am always looking to teach new students of any age or experience level.
