Instrumental lessons usually follow the method book that is selected by their school band director. I attempt to identify the strengths of the individual and nurture them to build a satisfactory and most importantly satisfying foundation, from which we can build a successful long term practice. I allow students to choose the songs they learn and couple them with technical exercises to improve dexterity and familiarity with the instrument.
