I want my students to have fun and be able to be inspired to learn and create. I know that everyone learns their way and I do believe myself accommodating and understanding. Learning to read, write, and play music is essentially learning another language and having taught languages for several years, I know people move at different paces. I encourage my students to maintain a detailed practice log, and to explore and create during daily practices whilst also working towards goals established during our sessions. Read More

Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. Read More

In college, I took pedagogy classes where I had the opportunity to teach students through the Boston Youth Symphony Intensive Community Program. In June 2022, I earned my Teacher Training certification through the Suzuki Association of the Americas, which makes me qualified to teach the Suzuki Method. In addition to viola lessons, I am qualified to teach beginning to intermediate violin lessons. Read More
