For the past 20 years, I've studied and performed with keyboards, guitars and woodwind instruments while exploring a very wide variety of music ranging from classical and rock to jazz and avant-garde. Expanding and sharing that knowledge with other people in a helpful and friendly manner is something that I consummately enjoy- especially if they're beginning where I once was. The courses I took of music theory, private lessons, group lessons, and orchestra focused on countless composers and many styles, specifically within the Suzuki method. My ear for listening and playing, sight reading, and composing through improv has been practiced for 17 years now. Through being a Ballerina as well, I have a deeper understanding of musicality and what it means to feel the music. I like to get to know the student as I am teaching so I create small breaks to get to know who I am teachign and their interest, so that I may taylor my lessons to the student. For beginning students I like to use essential elements books as a guide for their practice.
