I have been playing the violin for the past nine years and have had four excellent violin instructors, each with different backgrounds and approaches to violin instruction. Because of this, I have had well-rounded education in the violin which is a great benefit in my violin teaching. Up to this point, I have taught violin to six different students and have seen each of them make remarkable progress. Music is my biggest passion and something I love sharing with my students. I first began taking music lessons at the age of nine and quickly took to piano. A few years later I also began studying the violin. At a young age I fell in love with music and its ability to express emotion and connect people. This is what I hope to pass on to my students. My curriculum is unique for each individual depending on their goals and age, however I generally start beginners out with Hal Leonard’s Essential Elements for Strings, and a few of my own exercises as needed. After they have become comfortable with the violin I begin them on the Suzuki books or other solo repertoire. As the student progresses I gradually phase out Essential Elements and replace it with elementary scale books and exercise books. Read More

N.J. We were part of a special collaboration between Rutgers University and the arts school. Outer specialized program was called, " Soweto" due to our team collaboration in Johannisburg, South Africa. I also worked there for numerous years as a substitute violin instructor for Doctor Younoski. I also worked in an Enrichment program at Bethal Christian Academy, in the afternoons after school, M-F. For students who are children, I have a vareity of teaching style opportunities including the Suzuki Method, Essential Elements, Janice Rhoda's Complete Techniques, and other teaching methods. All of my students recieve education in music theory, rhythm, aural skills (voice/ear lessons), performance techniques, sight reading, and of course intrument technique.
