While in high school I taught students, played in several performing groups, and toured Europe with a youth orchestra composed of students from all over the United States. I earned my degree in violin performance from the University of Texas in 1981, having served several times as concertmaster of the University of Texas Symphony and taught students in the University of Texas String Project. Im a passionate and motivated teacher who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. I started playing the cello when I was 6 years old but switched to viola in the fifth grade. I graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelors Degree in music with a concentration in viola and education.
