In August 2021, I completed my time at The Orchestra Now at Bard College, which I joined in 2019. I am a certified Suzuki teacher (and a Suzuki kid myself!). I have taken Suzuki training through Book 3, though do teach books beyond that level. I have been teaching for over 10 years in all different settings-- private lessons, group classes, elementary school side-by-side programs, and love it all. For piano I use the Alfred series, and for violin and viola I use a combination of Essential Elements and Suzuki books.  As students advance I introduce additional solo repertoire.  My voice students learn from a variety of sources.  I usually start with a song they know well and work from there.  Students also learn a variety of warm-ups and sight-singing techniques.   Read More

At four I was begging my older brothers to teach me something on their guitars. I have been teaching children of all ages and performing around the world- most recently in Vienna, Austria- for over a decade. I also had the opportunity to work as a music director for a youth orchestra in Italy which improved my skill in orchestral direction as well as working with large ensembles.
