I am a huge fan of the Arban's technique book for brass, but I like to keep lessons fun with songs that challenge my students at their level. Once the student has progressed to the intermediate level - solid fundamentals, musicianship, and a desire for learning - I introduce solo repertoire. I'm receiving my Master Degree in trumpet performance at Brigham Young University. I received my undergraduate degree in music education from Stephen F. Austin State University. I'm well versed in many different styles of music including jazz, rock, and classical. Teaching trumpet is my favorite passion and I take extreme pride in watching my students grow through lessons.
