Instruments: Trumpet

I began teaching students during my undergraduate degree. I've taught over 50 students, grades ranging from 6-12, throughout my undergrad degree. My goal in the music profession is to become a trumpet professor at the collegiate level and have my own trumpet studio. In my lessons, I focus on all aspects of your trumpet skills: technique, musicality, sight reading, and tone to name a few. I encourage my students to establish a normal practice routine in order to optimize their trumpet skills to the fullest. Read More

Instruments: Voice, Trumpet, French Horn

I use my own technique exercises that I write and cater for each of my students. These solo pieces range from simple etudes to full orchestral arrangements for their specific instrument. Read More

After learning the song by ear, we would talk about the basic music theory behind the song and put names to the notes we just learned. Read More

Instruments: Trumpet

My goal in lessons is to teach students how to practice. So in my lessons I show them methods for warm-ups, exercises for workouts to develop range, articulation use, and technical playing. I have each of them learn how to play lyrically and musically. In the background to get them comfortable with playing music well and reading it easily, I work with them on music fundamentals to build a sturdy foundation. Read More

Instruments: Trumpet

I first began teaching private lessons as a summer job while still a teenager in high school, and I've loved teaching ever since. Encouraging a love of the instrument (and music in general) in younger students is something I'm very passionate about, but I'm always willing to help older students find that love as well. I find that the best way to ignite that interest is to focus on the type of music the student is most interested in. Read More

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
