Practice regularly, listen to other musicians that play the same instrument as you, listen to musicians that don't play the same instrument, talk with other musicians, share ideas, live in a world where you eat, sleep, breath, and love music, and be friendly and open minded. While in college, I maintained two dozen or so students within my own private studio. Some of these students were non-music majors that were given to me by my own voice professor.
