Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce other solo repertoire pieces that I feel the student is ready for, and assist in musical execution for future recitals. For trumpet students, I rely heavily on the Arban method for the essentials and then add other materials depending on the student's goals.
