Through lessons, I hope to help that passion blossom and teach that student how to best express themselves through music. My teaching style again goes back to finding out what and how the student wants to learn. A native of Hong Kong based in Boston, Tommy Chiu has made appearances in major cities across Asia and North America both as a performer and an educator. The method of teaching is as follows: 1) assess where the student is in music and in life, 2) ask about goals in music, 3) formulate objective to reach those goals, 4) rethink things when needed (students aren't cookies, so I can't use a cookie cutter).
