Sharing music with my students is my greatest passion. I have been playing music since I was nine years old. Music has provided me with many valuable lessons and opportunities of which I instill on my students. I am a Trombonist, Guitarist, Composer and Arranger with a BFA in Jazz Performance from the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York City. Some of my experiences as a professional musician include touring Europe with the JMI World Orchestra in 2017, performing at Carnegie Hall, The Apollo Theater, Dizzy's Club Coca Cola and many other venues through New York City, as well as many years of teaching, both privately and in groups. For beginning students, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. Once the student has a grasp on the fundamentals of performance, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital or NYSSMA solo. After the student moves on from basic method books, I introduce more trombone-specific books such as Arban's Trombone Method Book,and Rochut's Melodious Etudes for trombone. I usually start my beginning piano students who are children, in Alfred's Basic Piano Library, Lesson Book 1A. After a few months, I begin adding solo repertoire that is appropriate for age and ability. For middle school age students and adults, I start with Alfred's Basic Piano, Adult, Level 1. I also like to find out the student's individual interest and find repertoire that they are interested in learning and that are aligned with their current skills. Read More

As a teacher, I like to focus on each students needs as becoming a well rounded musician.  I like to work from a few method books including Arbans, Rubank, and Schlossberg for building up your embouchere as a trumpet player.  We will focus in on technique, embouchere building, jazz improvisation, and music theory.
