Hi y'all! I'm a saxophonist, clarinetist, and composer in the East Atlanta metro area. I love teaching and have maintained a private studio since 2018. My loves for performance and composition led me to get two Bachelors degrees in Saxophone Performance and Composition from the University of Georgia in 2023. I really enjoy large ensemble and chamber music, and I have lots of experience playing in chamber groups, musical theater pit orchestras, jazz and hip hop bands, and many other types of music. I create a hands on curriculum based on the students musical proficiency. Alongside this structured lesson plan, every student will receive training on proper practicing techniques which help build their sense of guidance, responsibility, and structure. Students will also receive training for embouchure and tone development as well as warm up etudes that cater to the students skill level. My teaching experience began in high school where, as a junior, I began teaching middle school saxophone players. As I went through high school I began to realize that I had a knack for teaching young players one-on-one as opposed to a large classroom, this is what inspired me to study music performance as opposed to music education. One of my greatest joys have always been to see my students make progress and express how happy they are with themselves after working hard, and this is one of my greatest motivations to teach and give teaching all that I've got.
